Wow!  The February 2018 Free Farmers Market hosted by the Simi Valley Community Garden was by far the highest attended Free Farmers Market to date! 

We want to extend our very deepest gratitude to all of our amazing volunteers, partners, sponsors and attendees for their perseverance with the brief rainstorm, which didn't dissuade the participants or the Market from operating as scheduled.  Once again, 100% of the fruits, vegetables, breads, pastrie...

On October 17, 2017, the Simi Valley Community Garden, in an innovative collaboration with Food Forward, a Los Angeles based food gleaning and recovery organization, hosted Ventura County's first Free Farmers Market at the Community Garden. 

The Free Farmers Market provided thousands of pounds of fresh produce to local residents, all of which was distributed at no charge to attendees.

We all know that Popeye made himself super strong by eating spinach, but you may be surprised to learn that he may also have been helping to protect himself against inflammatory problems, oxidative stress-related problems, cardiovascular problems, bone problems, and cancers at the same time.
